At the DVEMA, we offer two types of membership opportunities: active marketer membership and associate membership. No matter which type of membership you apply for, you’ll receive all the valuable benefits that DVEMA has to offer. Here’s an outline of the difference between the two levels of membership.
Active Marketer Membership
Active marketer membership is open to any individual, partnership, or corporation engaged in business as a full-service re-seller of No. 2 heating oil. Full-service includes offering burner service and installation of oil heating equipment to customers. Subsidiary corporations or divisions are welcome as active marketer members. However, if the parent company is a member, for the purpose of voting, only one vote will be recognized in keeping with the principle of one vote per active marketer member.
Membership dues are due and payable quarterly and are based on five points ($0.0005) per gallon multiplied by total residential gallons of No. 2 heating oil sold, with a minimum of $250.00 per year and a maximum of $10,000.00 per year. The first quarter’s dues must be submitted with this application.BECOME AN ACTIVE MARKETER MEMBER
Associate membership (no voting privilege) is open to any individual, partnership, or corporation engaged in business as supplier of goods and/or services to the fuel oil industry providing they do not retail market heating fuels in the five counties of Philadelphia. Associate members are invited to attend all meetings, participate in affairs of the association, and receive the same correspondence mailed to active marketer members.
Membership dues in the amount of $350.00 is billed annually on the 1st of January. Applications accepted after June 30th will be billed at 1/2 rate.BECOME AN ASSOCIATE MEMBER
